Philodendron
The Philodendron genus contains hundreds of species of beautiful foliage plants. They are typically characterized by large, green, and glossy leaves. These popular houseplants are known for their easy growing habits, and there are two types of philodendrons to choose from: vining (climbing) and terrestrial (crawling). The vining varieties grow several feet, usually requiring some sort of support like a moss pole or plank to climb. Non-climbing varieties grow upright and are excellent foliage plants for containers. In general, philodendrons have a fast growth rate, are easy to care for, and come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and appearances (including many variegated Philodendron varieties).
