Light: prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight as this can scorch the leaves. A north-facing window is a good choice, or an east or west-facing window with a sheer curtain to filter the light.

 

Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Water less frequently in the winter when the plant is dormant.

 

Soil and Fertilizer: prefers well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Use a peat-based mix that retains moisture but also allows for good drainage. Fertilize once a month.
