Philodendron Squamicaule Pink (Blood) - Choose Your Exact Plant

 

These plants are well rooted in their pot with sphagnum moss and perlite, when repotting we suggest using the same mixture, this species does not prefer a peat/perlite mix.

 

This plant is known interchangeably as Squamicaule Pink/ Squamicaule Blood/ Squamicaule Crimson /Squamicaule Red - these names all refer to the same variety of Squamicaule with a darker green leaf with an underside that varies from pale pink to a very deep pink. This coloration can vary from leaf to leaf and may also change as the plant matures, growing leaves with a darker pink hue underside than when the plant is younger.

 

Philodendron squamicaule is a tropical plant that is native to Central and South America. It belongs to the Araceae family, which includes other popular houseplants such as Monstera and Pothos. The plant is characterized by its long, thin stems and glossy green leaves that have a unique, heart-shaped base and a pointed tip. The leaves can grow up to 4-5 inches in length and have a smooth texture. Philodendron squamicaule is a climbing plant that can grow up to several feet tall with proper support. It prefers bright, indirect light and requires well-draining soil that is kept evenly moist.
