Anthurium besseae aff. × Anthurium pinkleyi

A named hybrid pairing A. besseae aff. — the compact Peruvian species celebrated for its bright yellow-green venation, one of the most sought-after traits in collector anthurium hybridization — with A. pinkleyi, the larger-scale species with broadly heart-shaped, glossy leaves and prominent parallel venation. The cross combines pinkleyi's leaf scale, elongated cordate form, and surface texture with the venation intensity contributed by the besseae parent. New growth typically emerges in warm bronze to coppery tones before maturing to deep green, with venation contrast strengthening as the plant matures. Individual seedling expression varies.

• Light: Bright indirect light supports the fullest venation expression and most vigorous leaf development; avoid direct sun which scorches the leaves.

• Soil: Chunky, open epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir with excellent drainage; never waterlogged.

• Temperature/Humidity: Warm, stable temperatures between 65-80°F; high humidity of 60-80% is essential for the cleanest leaf emergence and best surface quality.

• Watering: Keep consistently but lightly moist — allow only the top inch to approach dryness between waterings. Never waterlog; never allow to dry out fully.

• Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer supplemented with calcium and magnesium every 4-6 weeks during active growth; dilute to half strength. Reduce in winter.
