Anthurium 'Raven Soul' (Anthurium crystallinum × Anthurium luxurians) × Anthurium papillilaminum

A three-lineage hybrid built on complementary textural traits. 'Raven Soul' — itself a cross of A. crystallinum and A. luxurians — contributes crystalline silver venation, deeply bullate quilted surface texture, and dark, near-black coloration. A. papillilaminum adds its thick, muscular, papillose-velvety leaf substance, ribbed and winged petioles, and rich mahogany emergent coloration. The cross combines the bullate quilting and silver venation of the Raven Soul parent with papillilaminum's velvet substance and dark new growth, producing leaves that are both texturally complex and darkly pigmented, with warm-toned emergence. Individual seedling expression varies.

• Light: Bright but soft indirect light — the papillilaminum lineage prefers gentler light levels; consistent good indirect light protects the dark surface from bleaching. Avoid direct sun.

• Soil: Very open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir with excellent drainage and aeration; the luxurians lineage is particularly prone to root rot in waterlogged conditions.

• Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-80°F; high humidity of 70-80%+ is essential for the velvet and bullate surface quality and cleanest leaf emergence.

• Watering: Keep consistently but lightly moist — allow only the top inch to approach dryness between waterings. Never waterlog; never allow to dry out fully.

• Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer supplemented with calcium every 4-6 weeks during active growth; dilute to half strength. Reduce in winter.
