Philodendron sodiroi aff. × Philodendron verrucosum (clone 2)

A hybrid combining P. sodiroi — known for its silvery, metallic-sheened heart-shaped leaves — with P. verrucosum, the velvety-leaved cloud forest climber with contrasting venation and bristly petioles. The result is a heart-shaped leaf blending sodiroi's shimmering silver quality with verrucosum's velvet surface and impressed venation, often with a reddish flush on the underside from the verrucosum parent. A climber that develops larger, fuller leaves with vertical support.

• Light: Bright indirect light for the best silvering and velvet coloration; avoid direct sun which bleaches the surface.

• Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir; moisture-retentive but never waterlogged — excellent drainage and aeration essential.

• Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-80°F; high humidity of 60-80% supports the best velvet texture and clean leaf emergence — the verrucosum parent raises the humidity requirement.

• Watering: Allow the top inch of medium to approach dryness between waterings; keep consistently moist but never soggy. Never waterlog.

• Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4 weeks during active growth; supplement with calcium and magnesium for best leaf quality. Reduce in winter.
