Philodendron verrucosum is a tropical climber prized for its velvety, heart-shaped leaves with striking contrast veining. Native to the cloud forests of Central and South America, this species features deep green foliage with prominent silver or white veins, while the undersides often display a rich reddish-burgundy hue. The stems are covered in tiny, wart-like bumps (giving it the name "verrucosum," meaning "warty"), adding to its textural appeal. As a natural climber, it thrives when given a moss pole or rough surface to attach its aerial roots, allowing its large, dramatic leaves to reach their full potential.
