Aglaonema Honey Lemon

A compact, clumping, self-heading Aglaonema cultivar — a Chinese Evergreen native to the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia and New Guinea. Among the most genuinely low-maintenance tropical foliage plants available, tolerating a wider range of indoor conditions than most collector aroids. The warm yellow-green tones are best maintained under consistent bright indirect light.

  • Light: Moderate to bright indirect light maintains the most vivid color expression; tolerates lower light though warm tones fade noticeably in dim conditions. Never direct sun.

  • Soil: Well-draining potting mix with added perlite; moisture-retentive but never waterlogged. Good aeration is beneficial.

  • Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-80°F; does not tolerate cold drafts or temperatures below 55°F. Average household humidity is sufficient; 50-60% supports the best growth.

  • Watering: Allow the top 1-2" of medium to dry between waterings; reduce in winter. More forgiving of underwatering than overwatering — never allow to sit in standing water.

  • Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during active growth; reduce or stop in winter. Avoid over-fertilizing which causes salt buildup and leaf tip burn.
