Aglaonema Lucky

A compact, clumping, self-heading Aglaonema cultivar — a Chinese Evergreen native to the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia and New Guinea — grown for its ornamental foliage. One of the more genuinely low-maintenance tropical foliage plants available, tolerating a wider range of indoor conditions than most collector aroids while remaining visually attractive year-round. In feng shui tradition the Chinese Evergreen is regarded as a bringer of good fortune.

• Light: Moderate to bright indirect light supports the best growth and foliage color; tolerates lower light though color intensity reduces in dim conditions. Never direct sun.

• Soil: Well-draining potting mix with added perlite; good aeration and drainage are beneficial. Never waterlogged.

• Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-80°F; does not tolerate cold drafts or temperatures below 55°F. Average household humidity is sufficient though 50-60% supports the best growth.

• Watering: Water thoroughly when the top 1-2" of medium is dry; reduce in winter. More forgiving of underwatering than overwatering — never allow to sit in standing water.

• Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during active growth; reduce or stop in winter. Avoid over-fertilizing which causes salt buildup and leaf tip burn.
