The cross is botanically interesting given that the polypodioides parent shares pedatum lineage with the Florida Beauty's own pedatum parent — the cross is therefore partly back-crossing into shared ancestry, which may reinforce certain foliar traits while the squamiferum and variegation characters from the Florida side introduce the distinctive departures. The result is a deeply lobed, finely dissected climbing hybrid carrying the Florida Beauty's chimeric cream to white variegation across a more intricately structured, fern-influenced leaf form — the dissection pattern more complex and fine-fingered than standard Florida Beauty, and the variegation playing out unpredictably across those elaborately lobed leaves.

A tall moss pole or climbing support is essential — both parents are vigorous climbers that produce progressively larger and more dramatically lobed leaves as they ascend. Bright indirect light is critical for maintaining the chimeric variegation — the cream and white sectors are chlorophyll-poor and require consistent good light to sustain the plant's metabolism and prevent reversion toward green. Avoid direct harsh sun, which scorches the variegated sectors. Allow the top 1-2" of medium to dry between waterings in a chunky, well-draining aroid mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir. Humidity of 60-70% supports the best leaf quality and cleanest emergence. Maintain warm temperatures between 65-82°F. Toxic to humans and pets if ingested.
