Anthurium Warocqueanum Narrow Form 

A selected ecotype of the Queen Anthurium — Anthurium warocqueanum, the Colombian cloud forest endemic already considered by most serious collectors to be the benchmark of the velvet pendant anthurium group — distinguished from the standard form by a significantly narrower leaf proportion, producing pendant leaves of even greater elongation and more dramatic strap-like silhouette than the typical form.

An elevated position is essential — the pendant leaves must hang freely to develop to their full length, making a high shelf, hanging basket, or tall climbing support the preferred configuration. Provide bright but genuinely soft indirect light; the dark pigmentation of this form is particularly sensitive to bleaching under harsh exposure. Keep the medium consistently but lightly moist in a very open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir; waterlogging is the primary cultivation failure. High humidity of 70-80%+ is non-negotiable. Maintain cool to warm temperatures between 60-78°F with meaningful day-to-night differential — this montane species appreciates cooler conditions than most velvet anthuriums. Toxic to humans and pets if ingested.
