One of the most legendary and rare Philodendrons in the world, this critically endangered species is revered for its otherworldly, elongated leaves that can reach over 3 feet in length when mature. The striking, almost dagger-shaped foliage emerges with a reddish tint before maturing to a deep, glossy green with prominent white veining. Its dramatic, upright growth habit and extreme scarcity make it the ultimate trophy plant for serious collectors.
Options such as "4 inch 2 plants" means you'll receive a pot with 2 plants growing in it.
Light: 2,500–4,000 lux (bright, filtered light; tolerates brief morning sun)
Humidity: 80%+ (essential for proper leaf unfurling and size development)
Substrate: Ultra-aerated mix (50% sphagnum moss, 30% perlite, 20% orchid bark)
Water: Keep evenly moist (never soggy); use distilled/rainwater to prevent tip burn
Temperature: 75–85°F (24–29°C) daytime / not below 65°F (18°C) at night
Fertilization: Dilute fertilizer (1/4 strength) every 2 weeks during active growth
