Monstera Adansonii Albo & Aurea Variegated

A variegated form of the Swiss Cheese Vine — native to Central and South America and the Caribbean — displaying both albo (white) and aurea (yellow) variegation, giving a multi-toned palette of pure white, golden-yellow, and green across the fenestrated leaves. Each leaf is uniquely patterned, ranging from fine marbling to bold sectors. A vigorous climbing hemiepiphyte that develops progressively larger and more heavily fenestrated leaves as it ascends a support. The white albo sectors contain no chlorophyll while the yellow aurea sectors retain some carotenoid pigment.

• Light: Bright indirect light is essential for maintaining both the white and yellow variegation and supporting growth across the reduced-chlorophyll sectors; insufficient light causes reversion toward green. Avoid direct harsh sun which scorches the pale tissue, especially the white albo sectors.

• Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir; excellent drainage essential. Never waterlogged.

• Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-85°F; humidity of 60-70% supports the cleanest leaf emergence. Avoid cold below 55°F.

• Watering: Allow the top 1-2" of medium to dry between waterings; water thoroughly and drain completely. Never waterlog — the white sectors make this form particularly sensitive to root stress.

• Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly during active growth; train on a moss pole for larger, more fenestrated leaves. Reduce in winter.
