Monstera Adansonii Albo Variegated

A variegated form of the Swiss Cheese Vine — native to Central and South America and the Caribbean — that overlays the species' characteristic fenestrated, hole-punched leaves with bold white to cream variegation ranging from fine marbling to dramatic half-moon sectors. A vigorous, climbing hemiepiphyte that produces progressively larger and more heavily fenestrated leaves as it ascends a support. As with all variegated forms, no two leaves are alike, and the most heavily white sectors contain no chlorophyll, making the plant slower-growing and more sensitive than the standard green species.

• Light: Bright indirect light is critical for maintaining the variegation and supporting growth across the chlorophyll-free white sectors; insufficient light causes reversion toward green. Avoid direct harsh sun which scorches the white tissue.

• Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir; excellent drainage essential. Never waterlogged.

• Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-85°F; humidity of 60-70% supports the cleanest leaf emergence. Avoid cold below 55°F.

• Watering: Allow the top 1-2" of medium to dry between waterings; water thoroughly and drain completely. Never waterlog — the white sectors make the plant particularly sensitive to root stress.

• Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly during active growth; consistent feeding supports vigor across the reduced-chlorophyll sectors. Reduce in winter.
