Anthurium luxurians has corrugated leaves that develop an almost reptilian texture as they mature. New leaves emerge with a striking reddish-copper hue before transforming into deep, glossy green with dramatic puckering and thick white veining. This slow-growing epiphyte makes a dramatic statement in any tropical plant collection.
Light: Medium to bright, indirect light (avoid direct sun)
Water: Keep consistently moist but not soggy; allow slight drying between waterings
Humidity: 70-80% ideal (requires high humidity for optimal growth)
Temperature: 65-80°F (18-27°C); avoid temperatures below 60°F (15°C)
Soil: Chunky, airy epiphytic mix (orchid bark, perlite, sphagnum moss, and charcoal)
Fertilizer: Diluted balanced fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during active growth
