Anthurium 'Magnificent Silver' (Anthurium forgetii × Anthurium magnificum) × Anthurium 'Silver Blush'

A three-lineage hybrid focused on silver venation. 'Magnificent Silver' — itself a cross of A. forgetii and A. magnificum — contributes forgetii's rounded leaf outline with a closed or nearly closed sinus alongside magnificum's leaf scale, velvet substance, and bold silver venation. 'Silver Blush', a compact crystallinum-derived selection, adds its broadly diffused, shimmering silver venation. The cross concentrates the silver-vein character of all three lineages, producing velvety cordate leaves with prominent, high-contrast silver venation and varying degrees of sinus closure. Individual seedling expression varies.

• Light: Bright but soft indirect light supports the fullest silver venation contrast and protects the velvet surface from bleaching. Avoid direct sun.

• Soil: Open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir with excellent drainage and aeration; never waterlogged.

• Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-80°F; high humidity of 70-80% is essential for the velvet surface quality and cleanest leaf emergence.

• Watering: Keep consistently but lightly moist — allow only the top inch to approach dryness between waterings. Never waterlog; never allow to dry out fully.

• Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer supplemented with calcium and magnesium every 4-6 weeks during active growth; dilute to half strength. Reduce in winter.
