Anthurium Perangustum cf.

A pendant strap-leaf anthurium sold with the "cf." designation, indicating it closely resembles Anthurium perangustum but has not been definitively confirmed as that species. The name (per- + angustum, "very narrow") points to its defining character as a narrow-leaved species in the pendant epiphytic group alongside A. vittariifolium and A. pallidiflorum, native to the tropical forests of northern South America. It produces long, narrow, cascading leaves best displayed from an elevated or hanging position where they can hang freely to their full length.

• Light: Bright to moderate indirect light; more adaptable across a light range than velvet species. Avoid direct harsh sun.

• Soil: Open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir with excellent drainage; never waterlogged.

• Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-80°F; high humidity of 70-80% supports the cleanest leaf emergence and healthiest growth.

• Watering: Keep consistently but lightly moist — allow only the top inch to approach dryness between waterings. Never waterlog; never allow to dry out fully.

• Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during active growth; dilute to half strength. Reduce in winter.
