This regal epiphyte produces spectacular, corrugated leaves that can exceed 3 feet in length when mature. The thick, lanceolate leaves develop deep pleats (bullate texture) resembling king's crown pleats, with a glossy surface that catches light dramatically. New leaves emerge copper-red before hardening to deep green.
