Anthurium Zamora Queen × Versicolor
Anthurium 'Zamora Queen' × Anthurium versicolor
A cross between 'Zamora Queen', a warocqueanum-lineage selection contributing elongated, pendant velvet leaf form, and Anthurium versicolor, a species that brings its own distinct leaf character to the pairing. The cross produces narrow, elongated leaves that lengthen and develop their mature surface quality and venation as the plant matures. Individual seedling expression varies. At seedling size, leaf shape and coloration are still developing and will change considerably with maturity.
-
Light: Bright but soft indirect light supports the best leaf development; avoid direct sun which scorches the foliage.
-
Soil: Very open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir with excellent drainage and aeration; never waterlogged.
-
Temperature/Humidity: Cool to warm temperatures between 60-80°F; high humidity of 70-80%+ is essential for clean leaf emergence and healthy growth.
-
Watering: Keep consistently but lightly moist — allow only the top inch to approach dryness between waterings. Never waterlog; never allow to dry out fully.
-
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer supplemented with calcium and magnesium every 4-6 weeks during active growth; dilute to half strength. Reduce in winter.
