Monstera White Monster is a rare variegated cultivar of Monstera deliciosa, prized for its dramatic white variegation across large fenestrated leaves. Its high-white foliage makes it visually striking but more delicate, requiring attentive care. Leaves may harden to mint green.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun which can burn white sections.
- Water: Water when the top 2–3 inches of soil are dry. Keep evenly moist but not soggy.
- Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity (60–80%).
- Temperature: Thrives between 65–85°F. Protect from drafts and cold below 60°F.
- Soil: Chunky, well-draining mix with potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite/pumice.
- Fertilizer: Feed monthly during active growth with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Reduce in winter.
- Growth Habit: Upright vining growth with large fenestrated leaves. Variegation varies by leaf.
- Common Issues: Brown edges (low humidity), yellow leaves (overwatering), reversion (less variegation).
- Toxicity: Not safe for pets or humans if ingested.
