Anthurium Crystallinum
One of the foundational velvet anthuriums, native to the humid montane forests of Panama, Colombia, and Peru, where it grows as a terrestrial to hemiepiphytic understory plant. Prized for its broadly heart-shaped, deeply velvety dark green leaves with a network of brilliant white to silver venation that reads as almost crystalline against the matte surface. New leaves emerge in a vivid pink to reddish-bronze flush before hardening to deep green. One of the most significant parent species in collector anthurium hybridization, passing its crystalline venation reliably into its offspring.
-
Light: Bright but soft indirect light — the velvet surface bleaches and scorches under harsh sun, but insufficient light reduces leaf size and dulls the silver venation.
-
Soil: Very open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir; never waterlogged — root rot is the primary cultivation failure.
-
Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-80°F with a gentle day-to-night differential; high humidity of 70-80% is essential for the velvet texture and full crystalline venation.
-
Watering: Keep consistently but lightly moist — allow only the top inch to approach dryness between waterings. Never waterlog; never allow to dry out fully.
-
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during active growth; dilute to half strength. Reduce in winter.

She's GORGEOUS!! 😭🙌🏻 She was packaged well, and the shop even sent me a message saying "hey you should probably order a heat pack" which I forgot about and I'm glad I did. Thank you guys for everything.
Ps: since the order was a little late, a coupon for another plant was added which I intend on using 😁
We had a storm come through my state which made the delivery time delayed but the plant was so well packaged that it still arrived beautifully!
Amazing packaging and care of plant! Thanks so much!
Nice Anthurium Crystallium packaged very well. Already growing new leaf in LECA!
plants are healthy
There was a bit of a mix up with my order, but the seller responded immediately to my concerns and had the correct order shipped out quickly. The plant arrived in great condition despite being delayed a few days by USPS (not the fault of the seller). The plant was packaged with great care. This was my second time ordering from this shop, and both times the customer service has been excellent. I’ll definitely be a returning customer due to the responsiveness of the seller and the quality of the plants.
Item arrived quickly and in great condition! Looks just like it does in the picture -- I'm excited to grow it out :)
