Musa Nono Pink Variegated Banana Tree

Sorry this plant cannot ship to Hawaii

A rare ornamental banana cultivar of Southeast Asian and Pacific origin grown primarily for its foliage — large, paddle-shaped leaves with an unpredictable variegation pattern of cream, white, and deep green that matures with a distinctive pink to deep pink coloration, varying across every leaf. New growth often emerges with the most intense pink tones, making each unfurling a notable event. Can produce small decorative fruit under optimal conditions. Variegation stability is directly tied to light levels — bright light is the primary factor in maintaining strong pink expression.

• Light: Bright indirect to filtered direct sun — 4-6 hours preferred. The pink variegation intensifies under strong light; insufficient light causes fading toward cream and green. Avoid prolonged harsh midday sun which scorches the white sectors.

• Soil: Rich, well-draining tropical mix with good organic content; slightly acidic pH preferred. Never waterlogged or compacted.

• Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-85°F; cold-sensitive below 50°F. Humidity of 50%+ is essential — higher humidity supports the most vivid variegation and prevents leaf edge browning. Ideal for Florida outdoor growing in zones 10-11.

• Watering: Keep consistently moist during active growth — a heavy drinker. Water thoroughly when the top 2" of soil begins to dry; curling leaves signal underwatering. Excellent drainage is essential to prevent root rot.

• Fertilizer: A heavy feeder — fertilize every 4-6 weeks during active growth with a balanced high-potassium formula. Consistent feeding is essential for vigorous growth and strong variegation expression.

Every plant will have a different pattern and level of variegation and not all plants will ship already showing bright pink color. Bright light will help increase variegation. We cannot guarantee a specific level or amount of pink as it varies as a naturally unique characteristic.   Keep the soil MOIST at all times, dry soil will cause wilting.

**Note: Due to fragile nature of this plant, browning or curling of the leaves should be expected following shipping and during acclimation to its new environment. Allow minimum 30 days for your plant to adjust after arrival. We cannot offer replacements or refunds for this normal reaction. If browning bothers you, do not purchase this plant. Images are a general representation of size and color. Variegation will vary. Orders declining optional shipping upgrade will not be considered for replacement due to shipping stress or delay. Ground shipping is at the buyer's own risk.
